During each of these units, students will be learning to:
1. Read and analyze literature and informational texts related to the essential question.
2. Use text evidence to support reading and writing.
3. Write narratives, expository essays, research tasks, argumentative essays, and open-ended questions.
4. Create projects based upon the skills taught during the unit.
5. Develop vocabulary.
6. Refine grammar and mechanics.
